TOTAL COLOUR

A total colour is one block colour. We use this technique for someone who might want to inject a new all over tone into their existing hair colour. This is a great beginners start to colouring as we can use a tone on tone colour which gradually fades out and does not leave a regrowth but at the same giving you amazing tone and shine.

If you are looking to blend unwanted grey hair away we have various hair colourants that blend or completely cover grey hair one total colour. We will look at your eye and skin colour to chose the perfect tone for you.

To maintain your new look you will need to pop back every 4-6 weeks to touch up your roots and refresh your ends. We use a mixture of Matrix SoColor, Extra Coverage and Colour Sync to give you perfect results.

If you are after our Totally Blonde service please allow more time for this appointment. The process involves us lifting you hair first with our Lightmaster system and then after this has developed for 30/50 minutes we will gloss and seal in your new chosen blonde tone. The maintenance for this service is every 4 weeks and also includes our BondULTIM8 treatment which leaves your hair strong and repaired.

OMBRÉ

ˈɒmbreɪ/

adjective

  1. having tones of colour that shade into each other, graduating from light to dark..

Ombre is one of the most on trend hair colour techniques of the moment, also known as a ‘colour melt’. We tailor the colours you want to your hair type and what type of maintenance you are after (some ombres can grow out naturally or need topping up more regularly). You can go ultra natural or bright and funky. We may need to pre lift your colour for certain colour choices. Its always best to check with your colourist first before booking.

After we have pre lightened your hair we will colour melt your new chosen shades from root to tip creating the softest or most vivid of ombres. If you want vivid ask about our NEW SoColor Cult colours!

BALAYAGE

ˈbalɪjɑːʒ/

noun

  1. a technique for highlighting hair in which the dye is painted on in such a way as to create a graduated, natural-looking effect.

We love to Balayage! All our colourists are trained in the latest technique of balayage. With this process we hand paint highlights using either our pre lightener Lightmaster or our tonal Colour Graphic shades creating a soft, natural sun kissed colour. After we have lifted you hair we will give your hair that extra shot of colour with something from our blonde or brunette palette. This is a great way to brighten and add interest to hair without high maintenance.

HIGH OR LOWLIGHTS

High or Lowlights is a mixture of weaved or sliced colours through your hair to create a beautiful multidimensional textured look. This sort of technique is higher maintenance much like a Total Colour and will need to be topped up every 4 - 8 weeks.

HOW OLAPLEX WORKS

WHO IS OLAPLEX FOR?

OLAPLEX is beneficial for all hair types. Whether your hair is Color Treated, Texture Treated, Virgin or anything in between, it is damaged on a daily basis. OLAPLEX assists in both preventing that damage and repairing it, returning the hair to a virgin like state. OLAPLEX is compatible with all manufacturers chemical service products. Your hair is an investment, and the only accessory that you never take off. In fact, it’s the only thing short of plastic surgery that can change the way you feel about yourself. Everyone wants beautiful, healthy, manageable shiny hair and with OLAPLEX, that can become a reality!

VIRGIN HAIR

OLAPLEX is great for virgin hair. It helps to repair existing damage while protecting it from thermal, mechanical and environmental damage. OLAPLEX strengthens and prepares the hair for future services.

COLOR TREATED HAIR

OLAPLEX can be mixed into all Colors and Lighteners to lessen the damage caused by these services. OLAPLEX is also used to maintain and repair Color Treated hair for healthy, beautiful looking hair.

CURLY AND NATURALLY TEXTURED HAIR

OLAPLEX rebuilds, restructures and improves moisture retention to curls that have lost their shape. OLAPLEX infuses curly hair with added moisture and condition for beautiful bouncy, resilient curls. Fragile curly hair has more lightening and chemical service options when OLAPLEX is used.

STRAIGHT HAIR

OLAPLEX will strengthen straight hair, improving manageability, movement and shine. The condition of the hair won’t be compromised using thermal styling options such as curling irons, hot rollers, etc. when the hair is treated prior with OLAPLEX.

TEXTURE SERVICES (PERMANENT WAVES, RELAXERS, THERMAL STRAIGHTENING/RECONDITIONING)

OLAPLEX helps to maintain the integrity of the hair before, during and after all texture services. Texture services last longer, and the hair stays in better condition when OLAPLEX is used correctly. Damage-free Color and Lightening Services performed after any texture service are possible when properly using them with OLAPLEX.

EXTENSIONS

OLAPLEX can be used on all 100% human hair extensions. Some extensions have a Keratin coating on them which can sometimes act as a barrier to the OLAPLEX Treatment. Extensions sometimes are treated with textile dyes which can lead to unpredictable results with Color or lightening. With any type of glued in or taped in extensions, we recommend keeping OLAPLEX off those areas to avoid possibly loosening them. When in doubt, always perform a Strand Test on extensions as results may vary.

If you are looking for the perfect Brazilian blow dry in Huntingdon, contact us now.

Does your hair feels curly, wavy or frizzy? Is your hair dull, dry or damaged? If you feel that your hair ticks any of these boxes, you need to book a Brazilian Keratin blow dry in our Huntingdon hair salon.

Our Brazilian Keratin Hair straightening treatment is an advanced process that gives your hair a healthy, shiny and silky look. The application is based on Keratin which is the primary protein of skin, hair and nails. Keratin is a natural substance that gives your hair the ability to improves texture, condition and helps hair elasticity. Hair will stay straight and frizz free up to 3-6 months depending on original hair condition.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF A BRAZILIAN KERATIN HAIR TREATMENT?

  • Our Brazilian Blow Dry straightening treatment strengthens the hair using an intense conditioning remedy.

  • Protects hair against structural damage.

  • Makes hair smoother and healthier with each treatment.

  • Cuts styling time and allows for easier blow – drying.

  • The treatment is suitable for virgin and chemically treated hair (coloured, highlighted, permed, relaxed, and bleached).

  • It is vegan friendly and cruelty free and contains only natural, organic ingredients from plants

The application process lasts anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on the length and thickness of the hair. We start by cleansing your hair with a specially formulated shampoo, followed by a blow dry. We then apply the treatment in fine sections throughout your hair. When the application is finished we blow dry the keratin treatment into the hair before it is sealed with a flat iron at 200C or 230C in order to trap moisture and create a sleek look. After the Keratin Treatment is completed, the results are visible immediately. Hair looks shiny and healthy.

The keratin treatment is heat activated, meaning there should be no need for using hair straighteners anymore afterwards (dependant on the condition and hair type). Hair will come back straighter after every wash. No frizz no curls, heat and humidity resistant. It also protects hair from pollutions, chlorine and UV radiation.

Why not book an online consultation at our hair salon in Huntingdon. We can talk about the Brazilian Keratin Blow Dry process, what to expect and how it will work for you.

What results can be expected after the Keratin Treatment?

With correct maintenance, the hair will be straight, more manageable and easy to style, and will be resistant to humidity. It will feel noticeably softer and silkier, with added life and shine.

Can the treatments be done on chemically treated, relaxed or straightened hair?

Yes! In fact, the keratin treatments work to repair the damage caused by chemical treatments. We recommend that you wait at least two weeks after having any chemical services before you do a keratin treatment.

Can I colour or highlight my hair before / after the treatment?

Yes! You can colour your hair 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after the treatment. For best results, we recommend that any bleach / lightening / highlighting is done on your hair hair 2 weeks before your keratin treatment, as the keratin treatment will help to showcase the brightness of your hair colour. Darker colours or dyes should be done on your hair 2 weeks after the keratin treatment, as you may lose some of the richer tones through the heat of the straightening.

Should the hair be cut before or after the treatment?

We recommend that the hair be cut after the treatment, as the hair will have a smoother texture and will lie differently.

How often can the Keratin Treatment be performed?

We recommend waiting 5 weeks before having the treatment re-done. But, most of our clients do not need to have it done for at least 12 weeks, as the results can last this long (and even longer!) if the treatment is properly maintained.

How can I care for my hair in the first 72 hours after the treatment?

As you will have been told by your stylist in the consultation, caring for your hair properly in the first 72 hours is critical to ensure your treatment is effective.

Firstly, you must not get your hair wet or damp in the first 72 hours. This is because the Keratin treatment is still settling into your hair, and can easily be disrupted by too much moisture. If your hair does get wet in the first 72 hours, we recommend immediately blow drying it, and straightening your hair again on a medium heat.

Next, you should not bend, crease or tie up your hair for the first 72 hours. Again, the treatment is still settling, so your hair needs to be kept as straight as possible for this time. Try not to push your hair behind your ears at this time either, as this can result in the hair maintaining this bend.

How can I care for my hair after the treatment?

After the first 72 hours, you are free to wash and style your hair as normal. The only difference being, that you need to use hair care products that do not contain SLS or Silicone. Both of these ingredients cause the treatment to be washed away much more quickly than you would like.
