We’re open late Monday to Thursday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and on Fridays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Saturdays are by appointment only, and we are closed on Sundays and bank holidays. Parking Information for Our Salon

We want to make your visit as smooth as possible, so please note that while we do not have on-site parking at our salon, there are several convenient parking options nearby.

• Disabled Parking: There is disabled parking available close by, just down the same street, Bridge Street.

• Public Car Parks: St Ives town centre offers a variety of free, short- and long-stay car parks. Many of the council car parks also feature the MiPermit app for easy payment and time tracking.

• Parking Distance: There are parking spaces as close as 0.2 miles away, some of which are paid. The closest guaranteed free parking is at Ives Park and Ride, located just 0.5 miles from the salon (a 10-minute walk).

Tip: We recommend allowing plenty of time to park, pay, and walk to the salon to ensure you're on time for your appointment.

We accept cash payments, as well as contactless, Apple Pay, and all major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, along with our convenient in-house Phorest Pay.

When you book your next appointment—whether online, over the phone, or in-person—you'll be asked to secure it with a deposit in advance. This deposit ensures your spot and allows us to prepare everything needed for your service. By implementing this policy, we've significantly reduced no-shows, ensuring that both your time and ours are never wasted. It also helps you budget effectively, as a portion of your appointment cost is already taken care of.

We exclusively use Phorest's secure software system, powered by Stripe, to handle deposits, ensuring your card details remain safe and confidential. Please note, we do not accept cash deposits or payments via our card machines.

The deposit amount typically ranges from 25% to 50% of your service cost and is required under the following circumstances:

• If you missed your last appointment

• As a new client

• When booking online (refer to separate terms and conditions)

• For appointments lasting over two hours, such as hair coloring or chemical treatments, or for multiple or December appointments.

In certain cases, full advance payment may be required at the time of booking. This deposit is deducted from your final bill after your service. Should you need to cancel, a full refund is provided with at least 48 hours’ notice.

For late cancellations or no-shows, a portion of the deposit may be retained to cover our losses. However, if we manage to fill the appointment slot, we'll refund or credit the deposit towards your next visit.

Rest assured, if a service is unsuitable or cannot be provided, your deposit is fully refundable. This excludes instances where a prior skin test or color consultation was required and not completed.

OUR CANCELLATIONS OR NO-SHOWS POLICY

At The Cutting Room, we pride ourselves on respecting your time and ours. Here's how we keep things running smoothly:

We aim to uphold your appointments as scheduled and ensure punctuality. Likewise, we appreciate your commitment to honoring your booking.

We understand that life happens, and if you need to cancel, please give us at least 48 hours’ notice. Otherwise, a cancellation fee ranging from 50% to 100% of the service or treatment cost will be applied.

To streamline the process, we'll collect your payment details when booking an appointment. Rest assured, you won't be charged a cancellation fee if we manage to fill your slot at short notice.

To cancel, please call us (and leave a voicemail if it's after hours) or use our efficient online booking system. For smooth operations, kindly refrain from texting, emailing, or posting on social media.

PAYMENT DETAILS

Before collecting your payment details for any cancellation charge or deposit, we'll confirm the following:

• The specific service or treatment booked.

• The name, location, and contact details of The Cutting Room.

• The total price, inclusive of taxes, for the booked service or treatment. If an exact price isn't feasible upfront, we'll outline how it will be calculated.

• The confirmed date and time of your appointment.

At The Cutting Room, we value your understanding and cooperation in making our scheduling process efficient and respectful of everyone's time.

We understand that life happens, and if you're running late, we'll make every effort to accommodate you. However, to maintain our high standards of service for all clients, we may need to adjust the treatment length. Please note, you will still be charged for the full service you booked. If lateness prevents us from completing your service within the remaining time, it will be considered a no-show, and the full service fee will apply.

At The Cutting Room, your satisfaction is paramount to us. We uphold rigorous standards in our professional practice to ensure every visit exceeds your expectations. While complaints are rare, we take them seriously, seeing them as opportunities to improve and surpass your expectations.

Our Approach to Handling Complaints

If you're unhappy with any aspect of our service, whether immediately or after leaving, please inform us promptly and clearly. We deeply value your feedback and will engage with you to fully grasp the issue. Our aim is to resolve all concerns promptly, typically within eight weeks.

If you need to discuss a complaint after leaving, we kindly ask you to return to our salon so we can address the matter comprehensively and in private. This allows us to assess the service firsthand and determine the best course of action.

Making Amends

When your complaint is valid, we're happy to redo the service at no additional charge and at your convenience. Your comfort is paramount, and if you prefer a different stylist, we'll accommodate that preference whenever possible.

Hair Adjustments and Refund Policy

We empower our talented stylists at The Cutting Room to rectify any issues you may have encountered with your hair service. If adjustments are necessary, simply contact us within 7 days of your appointment. We'll work closely with you to ensure your hair meets your expectations, including any necessary follow-up appointments.
